RADIOACTIVE by Imagine Dragons
Imagine Dragons is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Imagine Dragons' lineup consists of lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, guitarist Wayne "Wing" Sermon, bassist Ben McKee and drummer Daniel Platzman. The album's second single "Radioactive" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs, Billboard Rock Songs, and Swedish singles chart and has sold more than seven million singles in the United States, smashing a record by spending 87 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. "Radioactive" stayed at No. 1 on the Hot Rock Songs chart for a record-breaking 23 weeks and ultimately became the genre's biggest hit of 2013.

The song received acclaim from critics, who praised the production, lyrics, and vocals, calling it a highlight on the album. Due to heavy rotation on various commercials and trailers, the song became a sleeper hit, peaking at number three on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and becoming the band's first top 10 single as well as being the third best selling song in that country.

The song has intense and powerful vocals. it also employs a fusion of the genres pop, rock and dubstep and the studio version is in the musical key of B minor. The song's lyrics speak of apocalyptic and revolutionist themes: 'I'm waking up to ash and dust' and 'This is it, the apocalypse'. Though the band has publicly maintained its secularity, the song features strong "religious or spiritual imagery", the likes of which have been common throughout the history of rock music.
My Idea #2
My idea for this video as my option 2 is to have the main imagery and feel to this music genre and video as narrative, telling a story using the lyrics within a very modernistic feel to the video. This type of video I am thinking about is very similar to other artists such as "The Script" with "The Hall of Fame" which uses a lot of narrative action from the lyrics of the music to tell the story. What I imagine happening is to have an upcoming battle/war between two gangs resulting in giving off quite a dark atmospheric response to the genre of the music video due to the music itself having a very powerful feel to it.
The video will show parts of both gangs story of how they came to where they are and the build up to the huge fight with the final chorus being used to showcase the ultimate fight between the two gangs resulting in a very strong atmosphere towards the audience. To film this I was planning for the final fight to use a big field with smoke machines to give an eery response to the fight and then be able to fit both sides in the imagery. For the narrative story sequences I was thinking of using two types of different houses to show the difference of the two gangs.
For the costume and makeup, I was thinking hoodies pulled over faces and jeans mainly for the two gangs just keeping the imagery simple and stereotypically looking like a gang.
