The process of creating the design for our logo started with our research into other band and artists of the same genre, indie/rock, such as Muse and Imagine Dragons. We noticed that most of them have their own original logo and representation of their image allowing them to be well known to their target audience. Looking at this research we realised we needed and strong and noticeable representational logo for our band which would be presented on the website and also our digipak cover which would be very important to include. Sticking with the main colour scheme we used black and white, also linking to the genre, and a neat symmetrical pattern of a phoenix, overall allowing our target audience to be presented with a good clear image of our overall artist (similar to the other well known bands we had researched).
As you can see they have similarly used the colour scheme of black and white with their logo designs which we have used for our own logo design (seen below)
