Planning for the test shoot and discussing our further ideas with Luke and his responses:

For today's lesson we were mainly planning our different roles in planning for the test shoot element for our music video. After discussing what we need to do, we decided that Jackie would go to the Cranleigh boxing gym tomorrow, after talking with the trainer Elliot who works there, and take some videos and shots of the location with some of our cast to get a good visual image of what we want and need for our final location. Anna and I will then book a music room and take some of the band members in for a rehearsal and test shoot with the instruments to get some footage of the band playing to the music and see how confident they are on camera and get a good image of what we want for the final product.

PREPARATION FOR THE TEST SHOOT IN BOTH LOCATIONS, BOXING RING AND PERFORMANCE ELEMENT:

To prepare for this day of busy jobs, I emailed the cast of the band with links and lyrics of the song with information about what we would like them to do with imagery and costumes and also with instruments and sheet music in order for us to get together quickly and efficiently on the day and get as much done as possible for our final result. Also by making sure that we have given all the information we can to the cast members for the day, it will give us a good idea on who listens and takes direction well and who doesn't. Anna emailed Dave Parsons to ask permission on being able to use the music room with the instruments for the band, while Jackie talked to Elliot, the Cranleigh boxing gym trainer, to discuss our accessibility for the boxing ring.

RESPONSES FROM OUR SECOND DISCUSSION WITH LUKE:

From our second discussion with Luke and pitching our further ideas from our music video, our end result was to mainly focus on a number of improvements and things to discuss about for our final product. One main issues and awareness that was brought up was the aging for the casting and the worry that the idea of the boxing element won't look as realistic or effective as we would like to match the song due to the singer/main character looking too young and unprofessional. To improve this we will discuss looking at maybe having an older main character but that would arise issues with the age of the band having to be older as well which we need to take into account. Another issue that was discussed was how we need to plan and decide on the design of the performance element with the band in the studio and how the walls will be painted, what props will be needed etc. Also to plan for arising issues we thought about the problem if we couldn't access a really boxing ring so will need to plan about having something stylized in the studio as a last resort. The ending to our video needs to be changed to something much more effective which we have lots of ideas to pitch as options.

Overall looking at these ideas and improvements that need to be made we will discuss and further improve to have a much better music video for the end of our process
